I used to use my Logitech V20s with my Ubuntu laptop when I had 8.04 installed and I could easily use "asoundconf set-default-card Speaker" to get sound from them instead of from my laptop speakers. Ever since I upgraded to 8.10, I have been unable to do this command and get sound out of the speakers. If I do "asoundconf list" i will have Intel and Speaker when I have the speakers plugged in, so they're definitely recognized...do i have to do something about pulseaudio?

Any suggestions on what to do?

I have tried using alsamixergui as well...(it worked for changing the speaker volume in 8.04 but it's not really of use in 8.10 as I can't get the speakers to get sound at all at this point)
