BSD, OpenSolaris are Unix/Unix Based and there for go in the same category as Linux, Unix Like OS's.

ReactOS is a different story though, its a clean room reverse engineer of NT 5.x and a very nice project indeed.

Not familiar with the others but if their Unix based or Unix Like they all go in the same Unix Linux Category.

Experienced FOSS bloggers get into the habit of using the term "*nix". The designation includes MacOSX as well. I appreciate the link, though.

Welcome to the geekiest part of town! We hope you enjoy your stay. It's good to have you with us, even if it's just for the day.

ReactOS could probably go big if it improves as could PureDarwin. I in particular like that somebody is working on an OS that is windows based. It might be cool for all the gamers out there that want open-source but are limited thanks to their games. In that case, it could be made into a gaming-targetted OS which would be kind of wicked.
