I am thinking use Vista for base Operate System and use parallel workstation to run Ubuntu. So that I can use finger print and memory card reader more often. However, confuse on security on paralleled Ubuntu. If I use internet and download things on parallel Ubuntu, spyware and virus wont go to vista right? or they will.. since Ubuntu needs Vista to go online?

No, you won't get viruses ans spyware going into your Vista install. Ubuntu doesn't have a problem with that, but even if it did, all they malware would see would be Ubuntu and wouldn't even be aware that it was inside Vista.
