This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     problem with opensuse dims my screen when booting!

    any have any suggestions as to why my screen gets dim when it boots into opensuse...btw im on an ASUS m50vm series!

    when it dims...i cant adjust it in opensuse state i have to go back to windows in order to make it brighter again

    any help appreciated

    It's the ambient light sensor. To disable it, run this command as root:
