    I'm running Ubuntu Feisty (freezing is gone now!) and everything is great; Ubuntu has more driver solutions than Kubuntu and GNOME is faster than KDE, while at the same time able to imitate the interface.

    I still have a small pet peeve though, and its about OpenOffice 2.2. All of the OpenOffice applications have this same minor but annoying problem, and I suspect that I accidentally touched some of settings.

    Basically all of the toolbar icons are gone and replaced with text, as seen in the screenshot below. This makes quick use of the toolbar difficult as the visual cues are missing and I am left with having to read each function. Does anyone know where I can reset this?

    Ok, since no one seems to have a solution in mind, I've gotten one step closer; I changed my icon theme to Crystal SVG. Changing back to the Human icons restores the OpenOffice icons on the toolbars. How do I keep the Crystal icons and the OO icons at the same time?

    Open up an openoffice app such as writer:

    Go to tools-->options-->openoffice.org-->view

    Under "icon size and style" change "Automatic" to "Human". This should keep your openoffice icons no matter what icon theme you choose. Cheers.

    I recall I had to install a package... did a search for something like "openoffice tango" in synaptic or something.

    anyway, sounds like you got it fixed.
