anyone else notice that if you want to change your screen brightness with ubuntu 7.10 you can, but in a few minutes it will change back to the default brightness setting? is there anyway you can make it so it will stay on a set brightness that you select until you want to change it back?

    1) How do you change your brightness setting?
    2) Do you have the option in gnome-power-manager?

    1) i use the Fn + F4/F5 keys to change brightness
    2) ive looked through the power manager (system -- preferences -- power management) a few times and dont see any option that could prevent this.

o, yah, thats the default setting i was referring to earlier. I would prefer if i didnt have to open that dialog box all the time to change the default setting though..
