    trouble with kubuntu iso

    Im trying to burn the Kubuntu iso onto a disk using alcohol 120 and nero both have given me writing errors at around 80 percent...anyone know why?

    Maybe the file is corrupt. Try burning it again with slower speed.

    If that doesn't solve your problem, try re-downloading your ISO (or if you torrented it, recheck it)

    ok the writing it at a slower speed worked...but now theres notthing in the CD, i burned the kubuntu iso as a iso using alcohol but the CD itself is empty? i dont get it...i burned ubuntu with no problems but kubuntu seems to be not working.

    hmm. did you do the file -> image burning wizard? that normally gets the job done. just do it at a slower speed, and it should work fine. i did that exact way for ubuntu and kubuntu

    yeah thats exactly what i did, but w/e i just installed ubuntu on my laptop instead of kubuntu...and i just d/l kubuntu onto it so im fine.

    Re-download the ISO from the Ubuntu servers, not from random websites. Use fresh media when burning, and burn at a slower speed than you normally do. Then run the CD checks on your new burnt ISO to check to make sure everything went off well.
