If I bought a computer with that installed, can I still run everything I would be able to run on windows? Sorry, I don't know hardly anything about Linux. Thanks
I mainly care about games though. Thanks. Any and all information is appreciated.

Some games have been ported to linux, others can be run through WINE. Still others will not work very well. It depends what you want to play/run. There are linux apps that replace Windows programs.

In short, no. Windows runs Windows applications, and Linux runs Linux applications. Just like you can't run Windows applications on Mac OS X, you can't run them on Windows. Of course, there are exceptions, as vespoli said. But you will likely run into more applications that don't work than do. There are several Linux replacements for Windows applications, but more specialized applications will likely be hard to find equivalents for. This is especially true of games, where there are few that work perfectly in Linux. Sorry.

I second that. If you don't know much about Linux, and you're a gamer, pay the extra money and go with a Windows system. Linux is great, but it's like asking if a screwdriver will pound your nails in. It could in theory, but it's not the right tool for the job you want to do.

You might not understand everything from the start (obviously) but be patient and be willing to learn and you shouldn't have a problem
Good luck!
