have picked two models of laptops that have all functions that I like:

    Acer TravelMate 4672WLMi
    LENOVO 3000 N100 TY05AGE

Did anyone have exprience with running Linux on any of them? Or are there some known disadvantages of any of these computers?

The website below gives the model of the laptop and the distro used on it. It might help you out in finding out what laptops linux runs on.

I have the Lenovo 3000 N100 2CU and run Ubuntu 6.06 on it without any issues.
