I was tempted by the GS63VR, but the lower performance of the Max-Q GPU seems like a turn-off. I'm skeptical of the lack of G-Sync, and the TN screen, but everyone seems consistent in saying that the screen on the 001 Raider looks gorgeous.
My primary remaining question is form factor. The dimensions and weight on the Raider seem small enough that it will "feel" portable (lugging through airports, using in small spaces, moving from space to space, etc.), but I'd love to know folks' real-world experiences.
Also, in terms of everyday gaming, how's the heat been.
I welcome any other thoughts or suggestions.

1070 Max-Q is still faster than 1060, but the reason to use Max Q is to lift limit thermal capacity on these compact ultrabooks. If you want play games on the system with AC adapter. The heat is fine as it's programmed to cap itself at 90 Celsius.
