Does anyone know why whenever i unplug the AC, the graphics on the laptop drops significantly. It's like it went into maximum battery mode (but i dsiabled it in windows). Could it be because of windows 7??

Did you disable powermiser?

There's more than one setting for the monitor in your Power settings - you need to set the Advanced Settings as well as the basic settings for the monitor. You need to set both the Adaptive Display setting and the Display Brightness setting.
Don't forget too that your CPU automatically goes to a much lower percentage, and it's also likely that the desktop is going from 32 bit color to Windows Basic. -
its prob the bios you have they release a fix for this issue. what bios version do you have?

Thx i'll look into it.

The new bios fixed it halfway. Instead of dropping frames to under 20, it's about half way at 60fps (instead of 12) when i unplug the AC to go into battery mode. I'm running windows 7 and i can't find the registry entries to turn off powermizer :/
