    Where is the 16f2 CMOS battery, how do I get to it?

    Do you need to get to the battery itself or do you need to just disconnect it?
    The connector for the CMOS battery is a little 2-wire black/red twisted pair located next to the GPU slot on the bottom of your laptop. Just disconnect it and wait 30 seconds and reconnect it to reset BIOS. :D

    If you need to actually get at the CMOS battery to replace it though....well that requires a bit more work. MSI Notebook GT680 --- Disassembling - YouTube Look at about 8:50 in the video at the yellow thing, that is the actual battery retainer, battery inside.
