I'm very interested in this also, i'm coming close to pulling the trigger on the model with the 4850. It's a good time to buy a gaming laptop :)

Also what happened to GT727 model? its been quiet for ages. I won't be susprised if 4870 was only on 727 model, as it probably have slightly updated chipset to support DDR3, which unlike 725, is supported.

Oh man I know the 4850 is pretty good already but I'm willing to wait a bit longer if they release a 4870 with a laptop system memory that has GGDR3 instead of GGDR2. A 4870X2 would probably be just a bit too much price wise around 2000 dollars, since the GT275 cost around $1550 maybe a new model that comes with a 4870 and system memory of GGDR3 will be around $1800?

Edit: Looks like the GT277 will contain a GGDR3 system memory though the graphics card is 4850 costing $1700 U.S. Dollars.

No release date. Maybe if were lucky they plan putting a 4870 on the model now since a few upcoming laptop's are coming out with a 4870X2.

I know I mean I would love to get a laptop with a 4870X2 but it just cost too much right now over 2000k for the whole laptop. One is just fine hope MSI put's it in their GT277 version.

    Well in a sense 4870 GDDR3 = oc'ed 4850, where true 4870 we want has GDDR5.
