so are there any plans for a 4870 in the 725?
if so, how much time are we looking at here?
thanks

I'm very interested in this also, i'm coming close to pulling the trigger on the model with the 4850. It's a good time to buy a gaming laptop

Also what happened to GT727 model? its been quiet for ages. I won't be susprised if 4870 was only on 727 model, as it probably have slightly updated chipset to support DDR3, which unlike 725, is supported.

Oh man I know the 4850 is pretty good already but I'm willing to wait a bit longer if they release a 4870 with a laptop system memory that has GGDR3 instead of GGDR2. A 4870X2 would probably be just a bit too much price wise around 2000 dollars, since the GT275 cost around $1550 maybe a new model that comes with a 4870 and system memory of GGDR3 will be around $1800?
Edit: Looks like the GT277 will contain a GGDR3 system memory though the graphics card is 4850 costing $1700 U.S. Dollars.

No release date. Maybe if were lucky they plan putting a 4870 on the model now since a few upcoming laptop's are coming out with a 4870X2. -
its really wierd that theres so many 4870x2 out but none with just 1

Well in a sense 4870 GDDR3 = oc'ed 4850, where true 4870 we want has GDDR5.
