Do these laptops based on the 1651, support up to 8GB of RAM? Or are there plans for it if they don't now? Thanks.

They do. I've booted with 6GB successfully, so 8GB is do-able.

Yes! Thank you. How much did you pay for a 4GB stick?

Theoretically, nothing. I pulled the 4GB module out of a Hewlett Packard laptop.

Alright thank you everybody... here's another question. What kind of advantage do you see with 8GB over 4GB? Is it worth it?

Unless you do some heavy media work, 4GB is more than enough for 95% of us out there. Otherwise, it's a bit of waste; money that is better spent on a faster CPU.

For the average joe schmoe, 4gb is good enough, but like the article says basically, there are scenarios where 8gb is s good stuff.
