My model has the Nvidia GTX 675m.

It has a VGA port, Display port and, a HDMI port in the back.

I am trying to figure out if i can use my display port and VGA port to hook up two screens for nvidia surround.

I found some cheap 18.4" 720p monitors that support vga and dvi. Can it work?
And does Nvidia support the surround for this configuration?
I just do not want to invest till i know it will work and i do not have a display(s) to test this theory.

    Please give me confirmation ASAP!

    Thanks,

    lorddinky

As far as I know, Nvidia cards are hardware limited to 2 outputs (including the built-in display), as the 675m is still a Fermi Card. The way around this is would probably be the Maxtor TripleHead2Go, or get an AMD Eyefinity card, or this. =)

To my knowledge, the xxxM cards don't support Surround. The external output is handled by the Intel chip instead.

Are you sure it has DisplayPort? :)

It does support surround sound via HDMI and depends on your receiver and media file.

if the current audio or video you are playing is encoded with 2.0 it will shows 2.0 on your receiver and if it's 5.1 surround it will switch to 5.1:

It will be HDMI and VGA, only the workstation models and our overclocked model offer support for multiple displays but it will still not game across all of them IIRC.

Do you guys know if there is a Vbios hack to do surround?...

It's just I tried the nvidia surround on my desktop awhile ago. and it was amazing! But i want the portability of one screen from a laptop.

What Meaker said. External output is routed to the Intel chip.
