N173HHE-G32 is the model number, and this is the other site that shows the detailed spec.

nevermind is it possible to switch this ?Last edited: Jan 31, 2018 -
Yes it’s possible to swap screens. If your 4K laptop already had gsync then it’s possible it will retain gsync when you do the upgrade. If not you may have to change your BIOS and or vBIOS to try and make it work. I don’t think the motherboards are different in any way so as long as the screen, bios and vbios all line up gsync should turn on.

Yup, the video is excellent.

Yes but all you need to do is remove the LCD bezel. Remove the screws holding the lcd panel on and gently lay it facedown on the keyboard and very very gently remove the eDP cable. Again gently! Now remove the old panel and set aside. Grab the new panel and place it face down on the keyboard and attach the eDP cable. Now place the new panel back in on the ‘prongs’ and secure with the screws you removed. Now reattach the bezel cover and reboot the laptop. Done.
You may elect to boot the computer before attaching the bezel cover to ensure it works properly. If you happen to get a broken panel at least you won’t have to remove the bezel again just to take it back out.DukeCLR likes this. -
