    Change 4k display of MSI GT73VR to full hd 120 hz Gsync

    i have a MSI GT73VR 6RE4K32SR451 - Titan (0017A1-SKU5) -> https://geizhals.at/msi-gt73vr-6re4k32sr451-titan-0017a1-sku5-a1493194.html.

    My problem is that i the hole internet i cant find my current screen model number. The 120 hz panel has the name N173HHE-G32 but the 4k ? the alibaba contect need it to be sure that i can switch without problems.

    Yes it’s possible to swap screens. If your 4K laptop already had gsync then it’s possible it will retain gsync when you do the upgrade. If not you may have to change your BIOS and or vBIOS to try and make it work. I don’t think the motherboards are different in any way so as long as the screen, bios and vbios all line up gsync should turn on.

    okay thx .. is this the best video for switching displays ? I think he makes more than he should for display switch.

    Yes but all you need to do is remove the LCD bezel. Remove the screws holding the lcd panel on and gently lay it facedown on the keyboard and very very gently remove the eDP cable. Again gently! Now remove the old panel and set aside. Grab the new panel and place it face down on the keyboard and attach the eDP cable. Now place the new panel back in on the ‘prongs’ and secure with the screws you removed. Now reattach the bezel cover and reboot the laptop. Done.

    You may elect to boot the computer before attaching the bezel cover to ensure it works properly. If you happen to get a broken panel at least you won’t have to remove the bezel again just to take it back out.
