From what I've read so far, people are saying that all socket P 45nm penryn cpus should work with an MS-1722. Can someone clarify this and/or can we compile a list of what everyone has working in these machines?

Also, any manufacturers for RAM that should be avoided?

I would also ask, can MS-1722 accept dual channel memory?

    T8xxx, T9xxx, Q9xxx, QX9300 and it will support DDR2 PC2-6400 (800MHz) memory.
For the Quad Core series you need BIOS 1.0R and EC firmware 4.29, this is the latest version for both.

I have seen MCI (Gx720?) with P8400 and P8600. Would it work on the 1722 barebone?

I am going to try a 533MHz Pentium Dual Core on it. According to MSI it should work. Don't need that powerful of a CPU in it as this is going to my parents when I go back during break.

Would a T7500 work, or does it need to be 45 nm?

Where did you get that info? MSI told me otherwise. Any Socket P for 1722 and 800MHz FSB + for 1651
