    Differences in 680 and 683 BIOS

    MSi 680/683 owners, which BIOS do you guys flash? It is a universal BIOS that works for both, or must 680 owners flash 680 only BIOS, etc? They look the same internally, I'd assume they are, just different hardware?

    What is the difference between non-RAID and RAID sku's? Certain models have no RAID capabilities, meaning they have different BIOS images? Most likely.

    I'm not encouraging anyone to try this if they don't know, but if someone does that'd be awesome. I'm looking to get XMP support for your notebooks.

    *Edit: If anyone is interested in testing out an unlocked XMP BIOS for the GT680xxx or GT683xxx please send me a PM!

    If you look at the downloads page on the msi website, they give the same link for both models (680 and 683, also for the gt683DX).

    Yep, as I thought that's the case. I just didn't know if there were some extra features to the 683 that may be reason for a different image. I just need to double check, triple check just to make sure.

    aside from the different GPUs, I didnt see anything else differs :(
