Good afternoon,
As the tittle says, I'm confused about the possibility of taking advantage of freesync monitors with a msi laptop which does not have G-sync.
I understand you can take advantage of freesync with nvidia GPU, but in my case I own a msi laptop with rtx 2060 and no G-sync. Will I be able to use freesync monitor?
Thanks in advance.

Perhaps, don't know if the capability is there albeit no G-sync screen is used. https://www.theverge.com/2019/3/8/18220853/nvidia-g-sync-support-freesync-monitor-gaming and

As long as the laptop has some form of DisplayPort output, either via a dedicated port or through USB-C/Thunderbolt 3, and said port is internally wired to the NVIDIA GPU, you will be able to use G-Sync on an external monitor. If the monitor is on NVIDIA's tested compatibility list, adaptive sync will work straight away; if not, you'll have to enable it manually in the driver control panel.

Thanks for the replies. How would I know if the DP is directly wired to the dGPU? I have a MSI GP75 with i7 9750H and RTX 2060.

Check if Nvidia Control Panel shows it.
