On my GE622QD the multiple display side bar on windows doesn't pop up when pressing Function + F2. To configure how you want to set up displays on the built-in and external monitor attached I have to go into windows settings.
Also, pressing Function + F7, which is supposed to be for changing between performance modes (Sport, Comfort, Green) also appears to do nothing (no on-screen message, no change in CPU temp or frequency).
I have SCM installed and the other keys work.
With the F2 issue, is this the key that is supposed to bring up the windows multiple displays side-bar? The icon looks like it.
With the F7 issue is this controlled at the firmware level, or does something like Dragon Gaming Centre need to be installed to use performance modes?
Manual says nothing.

windows version ?
FN+F2 - display mode for external connection "windows problem ?? ,.,. no need drivers "
and FN+F7 works only + Dragon center
or ECO FN+F5 /FN+F6 CAM / P1 ,,icons works + SCM
edit
try window hotkey for display mode
win + p ,.,.not works ??Califauna likes this. -
OK thanks for the suggestion - win + p does work.
Regarding the rest of your post, do you mean the F7 performance modes only work when dragon center is installed?
Regarding SCM, I have that installed, and the available options are 'Movie' , 'Game', 'Presentation', 'Office' and 'ECO mode off', can be selected, but it doesn't appear to do anything. Fans stay the same, CPU temps and frequencies stay the same (I'm monitoring them with RealTempGT), screen brightness stays the same.
Do you know of any manual which explains this stuff for MSI laptops owners?Last edited: Aug 3, 2021 -
for performance modes need DC or custom - shortcut+ windows power scheme
https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/create-a-shortcut-or-hotkey-to-switch-power-plans/
and cpu max STATE - 95./. - BASE CLOCK LOCK
second profile recommended full range "balanced profile" + power slider "on battery icon" is best solution
or MAX performance - "high performance profile" - max turbo lock
fan setup - SILENT OPTION
edit CPU state lock

BALANCED + SLIDER "min // max"
SLIDER options
max power - BASE + max turbo
default - full range "0.8ghz - max turbo"
max battery - "0.8ghz - max turbo" - slower sensitivity "best for daily usage"
// second profile "cpu lock on max turbo - HIGH PERFORMANCE profile " - games
