Anyone have this problem? I only get one channel on the headphone port. All audio works good on the speakers or through hdmi but it acts like the port itself is jacked up

Replacing the jack is the solution.

This, something is either stuck or broken in the jack that makes the PC think the jack is in use even if nothing in use.ALLurGroceries likes this.

Could be something inside the port too, you can get only one audio channel if the headphones aren't going in all the way. Also, if you've got an audio in and audio out port, and are using headphones with an inline mic and only one jack, it might not be making good contact inside.

Do you have another headphone that you can test with? Also, is it plugged in all the way? -
yeah plugged in all the way, tested with multiple sets of headphones. I think its time to buy a soldering iron and get on that port. :-(

I guess it's alright to do it if it's out of warranty, but if it's still not good, buy an USB to 3.5mm jack adapter, take your pick below.
