Hey guys, I hope I'm writing in the right forum.I was changing my screen for my notebook and I've ran into some trouble. Part way through changing my screen on my notebook, it stopped working. I press the power button and it blinks once, but it does not even attempt to boot. From what I can tell is the power board gets power, hence the light flash, but for some reason, everything else does not. I fear that my mobo may have gone bad (not sure how honestly), but I hope not. Any help with this situation would be awesome. I thought changing screen was going to be an easy maneuver, but it seems it has turned into something much more difficult. I've been looking for help on this subject for a while now, but every site I post at just seems to bury my topic without any help, so really, any help would be very much appreciated!

Can you boot it on an external monitor without the internal screen plugged in? Have you tried removing both the battery and AC power adapter and pressing the power button and jamming on the keyboard to drain all residual power, to reset the embedded controller (EC)?

Try to clean your memory connector with pencil eraser. Then install correctly. I had this kind of problem before, I hope it's the same for you.

Alright, so after taking it apart and putting it back together again, I got it to turn on (sort of at least). The power led stays on, the fan turns on, but nothing else happens. My new screen doesn't turn on, the usual keyboard LEDs don't turn, just the mentioned above.
