I am going to get one of these soon (I think...) and I am curious if I can "upgrade" the video card, or is it soldered to the motherboard?
If I can, then would the following work granted that I get a bigger battery and a more powerful AC adapter if needed?
HD3870
HD4850
HD4870
Please and thanks,

sweet! 4850 it is!
Would the bios limit me or require modding to work?
Would I also be able to install nVidia cards in my laptop too, or am I out of luck there? -

Any clue where to get a MXM 4850 from?
One last (probably not) question :
For this laptop, can I upgrade the LCD to a 17" WUXGA using, say, a Dell LCD? -

lol ill buy your MSI's 4850 for $0.02, that's my $0.02 hard at not work!
lol forgot to say that this was my 256th post!
Which incidentally is how much ram I had in my first pc! -
The alienware ones are built for the m17 not other machines, im sure ive seen people report it was MXM 2.1 which i think its specifically based for m17 (duo 3870s).
Unless theres something i missed.
They delayed the original 4850 launch due to cooling the m17 i think. -
One question...again.....
Anyone have/know what the GT735-024US comes with? Or where I can check...the usual 5 second Google search turned up nothing. -

Oh and by the way a f-up partion with Vista 32 bit, the system has 4GB of 800mhz DDR2 stock. Just be sure you reformat it with either 64bit Vista or Win 7 64bit!! Then download 32 bit drivers for your system's camera etc. and your system control manager for Turbo Drive use! LOL! Back pack is nice!!!!
