    GX630 Screen Discoloration

    I'd only been on this laptop a few hours before 90% percent of the screen became discolored..the very top of the screen is perfect though. could someone help me with this? i think it may be a heat issue, or a bad lcd, or maybe the mosfet needs replacing..will somebody help?

    Hmmm warranty seems like your only hope unfortunately. Not the best start to your journey with MSI.

    If you could, pics may be in order, just to finalize that there is nothing we can do.

    Hang on so its not that the colours are off, its that 90% of the screen is posting the wrong thing.

    If this is true then it would be the video card.

    If its under warranty just send it in, If its nit try taking out the GPU and reseating it, apply new thermal paste also. Hopefully you get this problem fixed.

    could be a lot of things. the lcd cable, the gpu, the display itself, drivers.... very hard to say

    alright thanks for all your help, i think ill send it in since it's under warranty. Also the screen is discolored at points where I move the laptop around..
