Wondering if anyone has any good reasoning why I should either stick with the Nvidia 179.48 mobile drivers for my 9600M GT or move to the 182.50 desktop drivers.

Has anyone done a benchmark comparison lately with the mobile vs desktop drivers?

If you didn't know, nvidia released 185.81 for notebooks a couple days ago. I was too lazy to test out any differences though.

Got it :) Hopefully my performance will stay the same if not improve, as always I'm concerned about bug fixes more than almost not noticable performance increases.

Have you tried the Dox 185.68. They work really good.

Just got the Dox ones. Gonna remove my current nvidia drivers, run DC and install them and compare my 3DMark05 score of 8742 to the new one with the Dox :)

Wholly ? This can't be right so I'ma rerun the DOX drivers again then uninstall, run DC again and install the orig Nvidia drivers and see if the results are the same but if it is right there is something wrong with Nvidias drivers big time to hold back 1k 3DMarks and 500 CPU marks.

Dox has said that he doesn't optimize his drivers for benchmarks so you may get decrease in that area. I would check if there's any performance difference in actual games.
