    Hello,

I need help badly!!!, this laptop is REALLY, awful, i have the GT780-i5, here in the philippines.... I called my local msi support here and they are charging me 100usd worth backlight keyboard replacement, without any warranty!!!, now i asked them if there's ana alternative to this, a cheaper replacement without any backlight... thery said they do not know.... then I asked other forum members here in my country... they suggested it might be possible to place the keyboard of the msi gx660/gt660 to this gt780.... is there any truth to this???? PLEASE rEPLY ASAP!!

I already wasted a lot of money on this piece of trash when I bought it, and money here is eally tight!!!

the keyboard issue i'm getting is that Letters are sometimes skipped, and the "r" key is particularly bad in this regard. Even worse is the fact the "r" will sometimes randomly start repeating endlessly ... sometimes a couple seconds after typing an "r" and sometimes for no reason at all

I really need to know if gx660/gt660 keyboard is compatible with this???
anyone from MSI Tech support or more experienced please answers
fyi: cant retun it anymore because its been with me for the past year and two months

i'm typing this on my msi craptop GT780!!, and copy/pasting the letter "r"

thanks in advance fo any intelligent answer
    and have a nice day

FWIW, I had an almost identical problem with my GT60 with the letter "s". http://forum.notebookreview.com/msi/667741-gt60-gt70-bad-keyboards-thread.html

If your machine is out-of-warranty then it looks like you're going to have to spend the money on a new keyboard. The good news is that there are fewer problem reports lately with the backlit SS boards (the problem units have presumably been flushed from the supply chain), so while it's not a cheap replacement, odds are it will put an end to your problems.

You can source one from waresphere dot com. That may be your best bet. Sunrex is the company that actually makes the keyboard but they are just money hungry. So I'd try waresphere
