    So, there was a nicley spec'd gx620 on ebay (red trim, so it was not the id2 of the 1651) for $900 with 1680x1050... did they even make a gx620 with that?

    Yes, the very first GX620 MSI released has a matte 1680x1050 screen (GX620-038US).

    This is a GX620-098US

    and on the few other sites i have checked, it said nothing about resolution xD

    Yeah it doesnt say it is. I had to do some research a while back. Forgot where I found that out. Plus people that had the 038 said that their screen was matte.
