I have a GE72-2QF from last year and I think only certain types of M2 SSDs works on it, does anyone know where I can check it? Thanks.

I'm sure the GE72-6QF supports NVME SSDs, but that's the Skylake model with a refreshed intel chipset.

Thanks, what about the crucial mx300 m.2? https://www.amazon.ca/Crucial-MX300-525GB-Internal-Drive-CT525MX300SSD4/dp/B01L80DH4G

This is an M.2 SATA SSD. It'll definitely work if the SSD slot in the GE72 supports up to 512GB in storage!

Yeah, that one should work. It's the right size, the computer can use Sata drives, and that M.2 has the B+M key to it. Shouldn't be any issues as far as I can tell.

Yup, and there's a deal for it on slickdeals for $108 today.
How can I check which type of M2 SSD work for my GE72-2QF?
