I have a new GT73VR and I want to install a new SSD and use that as a OS drive and Keep the other one in there for other purposes. I could use a little help figuring out how to go about this.
Could I just put the new drive in a open slot and then change it to drive C: or do I have to remove the other one from that slot.
I have always used a DVD, so how do I get the install going without one, I assume I will have to get a USB drive?
Any other advice would be welcome.

You can use the link below to download a tool to create USB installation media for windows 10. Then you would boot from the USB. Then I believe during the setup process you should be able to select which drive to use, whether to reformat, etc (though I am not certain if there is anything that has to be done at the bios level to configure the drives, sorry). Of course I know you will backup/image everything before doing this just in case

Thanks, I'll give it a go and let you know how it turned out.

It went smoothly, I did have to put the drive in the original slot for it to show on the boot list. I didn't want to mess with it too much more so I did not reinstall the Toshiba SSD that was in there.
Thanks again.Kevin@GenTechPC and neohopper like this.
