I have a MSI GT735 laptop and am having issues installing the latest ati drivers for the HD3850 card. I know Mobility Modder was required at one time but they don't support that any longer. The latest Modder doesn't seem to make any changes to the Catalyst 10.11 drivers. Any suggestions?

Cat 10.1.x is utter crap. I could never get it to work. I am on Cat 10.8. Works very well. No problems.
Download it here --> ATI Mobility Catalyst Display Drivers v 10.8 for Vista/7 64-bit - TechSpot Drivers -
Great. I'll try it out. What laptop did you install the driver on? What procedures did you use (uninstall old first, etc., etc.)

The stock Mobility 10.11 drivers should install just fine on an HD 3xxx GPU. You sure you downloaded the Mobility drivers rather than the desktop ones?

This was a brand new Win 7 install.
I did the following:
- Install Win 7
- Run Windows update (don't select the ATI driver if it shows up)
- Install ATI Drivers you downloaded.
My rig is the MSI Whitebook--> http://www.msiwhitebook.com/product_spec.asp?model=MS-1656-ID1
It is same as the GX640 and comes with an HD5850 -
Yes, I selected Notebook Graphics from the drop down.

This link jumps to the 10.11 download page when Download is clicked.
