    Hi, got a question for all you Ex620* Owners:
    I'm impressed with the flexible upgradability of the MSI Ex625, and would like to know if the following models are also upgradeable to:

    Ex620 (ati 3470) -> ati 4670 ?
    Ex623 (nvidia 9500m) -> ati 4670 ?
    Ex630 (Athlon CPU, nvidia 9300m) -> P8400, ati 4670 ?

    In europe there are hardly any shops which sell the Ex625, therefore I'm thinking about an alternative way of "assembling my own Ex625" :rolleyes:

    No one has tried to upgrade GPU's in these units so we dont know at this time, You can not upgrade an AMD CPU to an Intel CPU. You will have to stay with AMD.

    Unless they have an EX6xx model with the ATI HD 4670, I doubt any of those upgrades you have written are possible.

    Ok. Lets exclude the 630 and 620. But what about the Ex623? It obviously has a MXM II Slot. Since the MSI Ex625 can exchange 9600m GT / ati 4650 without any problem, so maybe the Ex623 could too?

    Anyone who tried it out yet?

    Same question.

    I'm about to buy a MSI EX623 for about $650 from a local store and want to know if its really upgradeable(GPU+CPU)?

    will be keeping this laptop for 2-3 years, so just want to make sure it can be upgraded.

    Thanks

    The CPU can be upgraded but not to a Quad Core. The GPU could be upgraded but you would have to stay with a tier 2 card like a 9600m GT or a 4650 or 4670.
