It's getting on my nerve. I never use touch pad. Is there a program to enable and disable it or do I have to uninstall it to disable it? I doubt uninstalling it would solve the problem coz window would detect it again and make it work. any option for me here?

Fn+F3 is one shortcut to disable it.

You can also go into control panel -> mouse and choose to disable touchpad if external usb mouse is plugged in

Plus the button right next to the steelseries logo should disable the touchpad

Yes, there is a keyboard button to turn it off, but unfortunately for mouse users, it turns back on with every re-boot of the system...... and yes, this can become a nuisance.

shin777, if you go into the control panel, input device settings..... there is an advanced setting, " disable touchpad when using usb mouse". Put a check mark in the box, save the settings, and this should resolve the issue.

I don't presently have the unit, so I can't tell you the exact path to find the setting, but trust me, it's there.

    Good luck!
