I updated my BIOS to the 1013_410 BIOS and completed successfully. It shut down after flash but when I power it on, the screen never comes on, no beeps, the DVDRW blinks a few times, HD spins, and fan spins. Not sure how to go about fixing this.

I tried to do a BIOS recovery and followed the instructions here and created a bootable CD and also renamed the BIOS to AMIBOOT.ROM and pressing CTRL+Home after powering on my laptop but somehow it is not working. Does it work only with floppy drives? I laptop doesn't have a built-in floopy drive and I have been using the built-in DVDRW as a boot device.

Is there a way to reset the CMOS? Any other way to recover the BIOS? Please help.

It could be your hardwares being not compatible with the latest BIOS. Try a different stick of RAM to see if that helps. I got a similar issue as you've described and it turns out to be the RAM was not compatible(a A-DATA 512mb ddr pc3200 stick).
