    Hello all,

    I recently bought an MSI G70 and when I run DXDIAG and the NVIDIA control panel, all the computer identifies is the Intel HD 4600 and not the 780M. Under the Control Panel system settings, the 780M is visible however I find it weird the 780M is not displaying on the others. I tried to play some games such as Skyrim and the 780M was immediately detected and used however in games such as Hawken, the game was set to "Low" due to the detected GPU. Which made me believe the 4600 was detected.

    Anyone able to explain this to me? If the computer defective?

    right click on the programs that launched incorrectly and go to "Run with graphics processor" to select the right GPU, if it works as it should, go to the nvidia control panel-> manage 3D settings->Program settings and add the program to select the correct GPU to launch the program, also set the power option to high performance

    And those programs will still detect the IGP when applying default settings even though it's running off the dGPU. His performance was not slow, just the default settings the game tried were low.

    Most of programs will treat Intel HD Graphics as primary graphics, however you can pay attention to the color of power LED.
    White = Intel HD.
    Orange = Nvidia GPU.

    So don't worry about what the game/application says, just use it and observe the change of light.
