    MSI GE62 6QL - Keyboard Replaced With RGB Keyboard

    Hello,

    I recently replaced my default keyboard (I spilled juice and killed it :( ) with an RGB keyboard (MSI Original Product). Steelseries Engine 3 doesn't recognize the keyboard and neither does Dragon Gaming Center. I've updated the BIOS and EC firmware and still no luck. I've also manually installed the Steelseries drivers for the keyboard - again, no luck. Anyone have any ideas?

    The BIOS probably doesn't recognize it since it's a different BIOS. Unless you start modding the BIOS, the most I'd expect is the keys to work without the backlight.

    Should I consider updating the BIOS using the MSI GE62 6QD update?

    Honestly - if the keys work fine, I personally wouldn't bother.

    Yeah, it's just that I paid extra for the RGB feature :/

    Is it not an identical replacement? The EC will only fully recognize the original keyboard.
