    Hello,
I just bought this machine and for some reason I cannot upgrade hard drive because I cannot remove the back cover. There is void warranty sticker which does not allow its removal. Is it intended design by the MSI?

Contact your reseller regarding their policy and that sticker.

Don't worry about the warranty void sticker. as long as you do it carefully and not causing any physical damage then you are fine. all of our MSi laptops shipped with customized has warranty sticker removed.

I've heard this does not apply to all regions so be careful.

At worst, you can contact MSI from your region to confirm, but for the most part is should be fine to remove the sticker.

Doesn't matter anymore, really. I broke the seal a few hrs after I bought a laptop, just couldn't stand windows 8 and non SSD harddrive. Other than that, this laptop kicks some huge . I have never thought that I could have such amazing sound quality on laptops. This just blows my mind.

    Thanks everyone.

I do know in Russia if the warranty sticker is removed then the warranty is voided for sure.

Nah, I know that warranty is not removed from a moderator on Russia MSI Forum and he quoted Russian MSI tech support.
However in Ukraine not only official service center told me that removing sticker blows the warranty, but even MSI Ukraine told me "We will make a query to MSI Global, call in a week". Sheep. Am I the first one who asked that question there, really?

Well the people who do open them up and modify it are in the minority, but maybe the people on the floor ignore it and the phone people don't know.

Maybe things changed in Russia. :)

I was told by my friend who was in charge service center in Russia, he told me as long as the warranty stickers is removed the warranty is voided. but now he went back to China and no longer in Charge Russian service center. :)
