    Hey there.

Ive posted a few time about replacing my failing gtx560m.

well, I finally did it, bought a gtx770m + heatsink

(I removed all nvidia software.drivers prior to installation)

Its all installed but the card is not recognized by the drivers (prob not even in windows, as a standard vga is installed)

I'm assuming I need to do a bios reset or install something some how.

Would one of you kind folks point me in the right direction?

    Thanks a bunch

It's a older model but If I remember correctly the MSI laptops with GTX560M does not support nVidia Optiums. The HDMI is hard-wired to nVidia GPU on your GTX560M, but the GTX770M supports nVida Optimus and HDMI is hard-wired to Intel HD Graphics.

the GTX770M required Intel HD Graphics drivers to be installed before you can even install nVidia drivers which your mainboard does not support. Even the owners of new GT70 and GT60 with GTX770M has to install Intel HD Graphics first otherwise their nVidia card will just list as a standard VGA adapter in device manager. So the issues you are having is hardware limitation not softwares.

Hey there since the bios does not officially recognise the card you will need to use modified drivers from laptopvideo2go.com

The 770M has been tested to work in your generation of machine so you just need to grab one of those drivers.

The 770M is perfectly capable of running in a non optimus system.

    Yes Thank you!

I was able to get it up and running with the modded inf from laptop video2go.com

Been a while since I needed to visit that site (since my HP and gatewayfx days)

good to see they are still up and running.

Was nice to be able to just d/l the drivers from nvidia directly, but in the name of performance, I shall once again carry the modded driver torch!

Of course we are still running - but it has been more quiet lately. With current drivers it's more effort for compatibility with unsupported hardware than performance improvement. But the main Inf creator Pieter is quite alone recently :(

Awwww, well the drivers are still under use, I think the local community could do with a little more activity.
