Hi everyone
I was playing game with my new MSI laptop... It worked fine in the first few days. However, it turned off all of a sudden while i was playing it this afternoon. I guess the problem might due to the overheating of the battery.. I'm not sure though. I rebooted the laptop after that, and it seemed work fine except the cursor pad on my laptop didn't work. So I rebooted it again, and here is the problem: the screen freezes at the opening screen (w/ the big MSI icon at the center). I waited for about 10 mins, and it still didn't go further. I tried to press different buttons like Del, Esc, Tab....and no one worked. So after all my laptop is not able to get to the Bios screen, and I can do nothing on it. Does somebody know what's wrong with my laptop? I'm appreciated if someone can give me some clues. Thanks so much! =]

I'm not sure what to tell you since I'm no vista expert. the fact that you can get to the Bios is a good sign. Is the hard drive defined in the BIOS when you bring it up?
Also, Were you running the laptop on a bed or anything that isn't flat and hard? -
Well I was buying the laptop without OS, and I installed the Windows XP Pro SP2 by myself. I had no problem on getting in the BIOS, and the HD was defined before that incident happened. However, I have NO WAY to get to the BIOS now.
By the way, I was using my computer on a "notebook cushion" (i.e. a cushion with a hard flat surface above it), and yes I was using it on my bed...
So..yeah, thanks for your respond! =] -
Sounds like you might have to RMA it. If the system lights up and beeps it may be a display issue. Good Luck. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope that my gx600 stays alive. Speaking of display issue. Have you tried an external monitor? I'm just thinking out loud... Never mind.
