OK this might have been asked alot but ive also gone around and tried every solution and i cant fix the problem
Lapotop MSI GX660
OS Windows 7 professional 64 bit
realtek audio driver version 6.0.1.6151
firstly i was playing music from youtube and used a 3.5mm jack to a trs cable to connect the line out to my studio monitors. I unplugged one trs monitor cable because i heard static then i replugged it but it wasnt making noise anymore. so i did that for a while but the other was still working. so i then unplugged the other and re plugged and the sound was gone. unplugged it all my laptops speakers werent making any more sounds at all, but my microphone and line in were still working (i was in a skype call) .so i did the windows fix thing the troubleshooter checked that devices were enabled, diable and re enable, the basics. so then i restarted the laptop still nothing. so i decided to roll back the driver and then i heard sounds but then i realized that was coming out of the "subwoofer" at the bottom. i checked the audio panel again then i noticed there were now 2 speakers i changed to the other and thiose were my normal speakers but there was no bass and none of my inputs and outouts were working (for sounds). so i decided to uninstall it all and reinstall the latest driver. the sounds werent working again but if i plugged my phone into the line in and play music the music would come out of the normal speakers (mostly the right side speaker the subwoofer and left side barely made any noise) and well the outputs werent working again. so im lost as hell and baffled.
help to get this working would be really appreciated!

Try the latest driver from Realtek, then go to HD Audio Codec. -
downloaded it the latest driver enabled full proper use of the microphone port and line in. but there is no sound coming frmo the programs in the laptop itself BUT if i use a audio cable and play music from an external source it works on the speakers (but not the woofer) and if i roll back the driver i get sound from the speaker or the woofer (depends what i set as default) but none of the inputs/outputs work

Please make sure the audio playback device is called "Realtek High Definition Audio" instead of "High Definition Audio". -
checked device manager and it says "high definition audio driver" is that an issue? -

Right, please reinstall the driver. -
nothing same thing even on device manager. i even went and downloaded the original driver which is the one my laptop rolls back to and re installed t. that enables sound to work but doesnt let the sub and speaker function together and no outputs or inputs work. the updated realtek audio driver enables the sound to work has the realtek icon and the orange speaker icon active in the place where i click the arrow near the clock (forgot the name) and well the latest realtek driver has no outbound sound but inputs work . also if it may help i was using the updated driver for a long time and well one day just listening to music (last system maintenance was a week prior) and it just stopped.
if you need screenshot or anything just tell me and ill put them up ASAP.
also tried searching for a regular high definition audio driver. found nothing that wasnt realtek -

Sorry, if that couldn't to be installed then it's recommended to restore the OS to the factory one since your OS could be somewhat bad. -
new info kevin!
i basically reinstalled the latest driver twice in a row then restarted it and now in device manager its listed as realtek high definition audio! but still. no sounds working at all but the manager detects inputs and outputs but outputs have no sounds at all but on the system tray in playback devices it shows the volume bar moving up and down for the speakers and the microphone. i know the mic works i tested it on skype -

Try reload the OS to make sure since we know it's not working at all with your current OS. -
by reload you mean repair install or reformat and re install or just restart it?

Try reinstall it, because it should partially work by making sounds even without the driver, unless this is a faulty hardware.
