There is no such program (only for dell cards does one exist), all files must be hand tweaked for now. If you have a non enduro machine you can use Asus GPU tweak to change the voltage however.

Windows will detect the new CPU, install some drivers and you are good to go.

Hello! I know that the thread is called MSI GX740 in 2013, not MSI GX740 in 2014, but I have a problem and I don't know who to ask.
I have MSI GX740 and today my new HD7970 has arrived, but when I plugged it in my notebook it just didn't show anything on the display.
Here's the photo of the card:

I'd like to know is there something special that I should do to make it work? Should I flash custom vbios? If yes, then what version should I search for?
Please, help me with advice, I spent almost the same ammount of money on the card as on the whole laptop.

Hello again! They helped me on another forum. It's appeared that all that I had to do is to flash Unlocked bios and switch PCI to Legacy ROM.
Somebody wrote that their GX740 worked with HD7970M but showed nothing. I have another issue, my laptop didn't power on to Windows (just power led was on and nothing else), but with this BIOS update everything started to work properly. Now I'm waiting for 3D Mark to finish benchmarking.
