So I've got my new barebone today and everything is fine and works great besides when I do gaming. I notice considerable FPS loss (constant down to 60 from 220fps in CS Global Offensive). It performs worse than my GE60 barebone with the same settings. Does anyone know what's causing this? Could Intel Speedstep technology cause this throttling? It can't be the power supply right? Since it's the power supply that is provided by MSI so I would assume it should be capable of supporting the power demands.
It's a little irritating because it's otherwise a perfect laptop for me.

First of all what card is it? I got one with the old 675m but sent it back because it wouldn't even turn on, now I'm getting one with the 675mx, is that what you have?

So far it seems like disabling speedstep is making it perform better. Will still appreciate any suggestions!

If you disable Speedstep it will disable Turboboost so it should have nothing to do with it. You should check the CPU/ GPU temperature to make sure temperature are right. Also try run the Throttlestop to see if it makes difference. -

This is with speedstep disabled. Will post with it enabled tomorrow.
Seems like it's on par with what it's supposed to be at! -

Okay, update. It definitely is the speedstep. Any time it's enabled I get throttling in game.
