    Hey there,
anyone has the experience with white stripes appears on the bottom of the screen / display?
It happened with me after about 8 months after buying. Repaired under warranty, and now after 6 months it appears again, exactly same problem. RMA repaired this the first time without exchanging the display unit / screen. Still I have warranty (2 years), but want to try to fix this problem myself for quick solution.
what could be wrong here. See attached picture.

Looks like a bad connection. Unless you are comfortable with tearing the machine down, I'd send it back again.

My S270 (actually MS-1013 barebones) screen turns completely off if I push it back too far (past 45 degrees) - MSI seems to be pretty good with RMAs. Got it back without too much complaints.

    naddie,
you're right, I opened the topside (touchpad cover and keyboard removed), but don't want to go too far. I can see the harddisk, the RAM memory, and aluminium plating which cannot easily remove...
so leave the repairs for RMA, but for the 2nd time, I'm not amused, who'll know this not gonna happen a third time, when the 2 years warranty is over?
On additional connected LCD monitor / screen, the view is clear without any disturbance. so must be the 12.1" glare LCD screen.

    Samnetwork,

It is only prudent to get MSI technician to do the repairs. If they find out that you attempt to fix the problem yourself, they may simply void the warranty.

Since your machine is under warranty, why help MSI save on cost by doing your own repair ?

Leave the problem to MSI, it's only wise this way.

I have my share of good & bad experience with my MSI as written in my posting below:
