    MSI gt627-218us low 3dmark06 score

    My computer is clocked at 2.87ghz in turbo mode and im running the 9800m gs 1gb video card. normal 3dmark06 tests run this model at 8500+ , my computer only runs at 4500 3dmarks. anyone have any ideas why this might be?

    update: a friend told me to disable Intel speed-Step in bios and it puched the 3dmark score from 4500 to 7700. The score is still about 1500 under what it should be though

    Check your battery mode, it must because its set in Power Saver or Balanced mode. Change it to Performance.

    It ended up being a virus that was slowing the computer down. after being caught by kaspersky, New nvidia beta drivers, and a gpu overclock of 620/850/1450.....my new 3dmark06 score is 9680 which i think is very good for this notebook.
