Alright, I'll try to keep this short and to the point. My notebook overheated and broke, sent it in and got it fixed no problem. Happens again, this time, I send it in and they don't give me back my battery. On top of that, the adapter isn't even mine.
When I got my notebook back the second time, they shipped it back pretty quickly, however, my battery was missing. I emailed them immediately and they responded with "we are sure we sent you the battery, can you please double check?" I tore the god damn box apart, checked all the little boxes and ransacked my apartment. I even took pictures and sent it to them minutes after I opened my package.
While going crazy looking for my battery, I noticed something else. The AC adapter is scratched, abused, and has white paint marks all over the chord. I treat my over one-thousand dollar investment kindly, and NEVER did I scratch my adapter. Furthermore, the adapter looks like and older generation. This is where I need your help.
Because I don't have an AC adapter with me since they stole the thing, I need some confirmation on how it looks like. I checked a clear photo of the adapter on newegg here, you can clearly see the adapter, albeit only one angle. But the adapter they sent me greatly differs. Firstly, there's a light near the nondetachable chord coming out of the brick, I don't recall seeing that there before, but could be wrong. Secondly, the big black little nugget along the chord is closer to the brick. Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but the correct adapter should have on the other end closer to the notebook outlet. And lastly, take a look at the model I have and the model on newegg. The nondetachable chord is connected more off to the right, whereas the one I received is connected in the middle. I would also like some confirmation on that.
I'll post a picture of the AC adapter, and would like to know from other MSI owners, (specifically gx620 however other models use the same adapter) if this is the correct adapter.
Nevertheless, even if this is the correct model, I'm still stuck with no battery, I paid over $120 shipping and insuring the thing, only to have to pay a hundred more for a damn battery I should already have.
Pictures: 1, 2, and 3
This is ridiculous, I have completely lost all loyalty for this company, my notebook constantly dies, and I've already had to withdraw out of a class because my harddrive contained my film project(which I couldn't open because of warranty)
Sorry for the rant, I'm angry as hell right now, but thank you for your time reading this. I will be sending another email once I get more information on the adapter, I've already sent my email using the newegg link but they completely ignored it and told me "sorry, too bad."
I will take ANY advice/suggestions.

Here in Europe , when you RMA'd they told you not to send the battery , charger etc. , just the notebook itself ..
You also need to give a list of what you sending them before they book for it.
Ain't it supposed to be everywhere like this ? -
No, they specifically told me to send everything, and said nothing about a list. Here's a copy-paste from the email they sent me.
"For Notebook RMA (MSI Brand & Barebone Notebook), it is required to return the entire unit including components such as Battery, AC adapter and Optical drive. Please remove any passwords (if any) from Windows Logon, and BIOS otherwise the RMA will not be processed. Please backup all of your personal data on the hard drive before sending in the system, MSI will not be held responsible for any data loss during RMA process under any circumstance.
For all other products such as Motherboard, VGA, Barebone PC, you must send in ONLY the item that needs service. Please DO NOT ship any item such as processor, memory, cable, manual, software, cables, clips, and original box otherwise they will not be returned or replaced.
You are responsible for the shipping cost from your end to MSI. It is highly recommended that you use couriers such as UPS/FedEx with tracking and insurance.
You must package your RMA items inside a box. Please make sure the content is well cushioned and secured using proper packaging materials to prevent shipping damages. MSI is NOT responsible for any loss or damage caused by shipping/improper packaging. We recommend using two inches of padding surrounding your product to protect it from shipping damage.
If your RMA has multiple items, please ship them altogether at once."
Also, I received a list from them stating they recieved everything, including the battery. -
looks like they sent you back a 1722/gx720 adapter. >.> I would consider that a upgrade so not really a reason to complain and even though it looks a little scratched its not going to affect it in any way. I don't see these white paint marks you are talking about and considering its a black adapter I would think they would stand out but they don't. It sucks they did not send back your batter, but there is not a single person on these forums that can help you.
Please vent to the BBB not on the forums. -
The paint marks were on the cord which is not shown on the pictures, I just needed confirmation on the adapter. Thank you, sorry I insulted your favorite company. Trust me, they used to be mine too.
Point is, they did NOT send my items back, whether it's an upgrade or not. This is essentially defined as stealing. -

Forget email. Try calling them and talking to them. Maybe you will be able to get some help. Don't give up and don't over react. Stay calm and be polite. It could be an honest mistake.
I don't think they would stiff you for a battery intentionally. Makes no sense to do so.
Good luck! -
Thanks for the BBB & staying calm tip, I was seriously about to lose it, I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful. I just called them today, they kept switching me through a number of different people. After 30mins on hold, I'm now awaiting for a "call back."
Nonetheless, I got a number to speak directly to the man in charge of my RMA, which I must wait until tomorrow as they're closed. I'll be holding my breath.
MSI is screwing me over when I sent them my notebook. MSI owners, I need your help.
