I am interested in the rollover abilities of the MSI steel series keyboard

Can some people with this laptop do some key rollover tests.

Open notepad and do the following then post results here.

    Test 1:
Hold CAPS LOCK, Left Shift and Right shift and type the following

the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog!@#$%^&*()

If every single key stroke does not register then repeat only holding Left shift and right shift.

And again with only Left shift.

    Test 2:
Put 6 fingers on sdf lkj.
Press all 6 keys together 5 times in a row quickly then press enter. Repeat this 10 times.

    Test 3:

Hold shift and E, then press space several times allowing E to repeat. Do the same with S,D,F

What exactly is the purpose of this? To see how many keys can be registered in one instance??

    Here are my test results.

    TEST 1

CAPS LOCK, Left Shift, and Right Shift- thequikorfojupedoerthelaydog!@#$%^&*()

Left Shift and Right Shift- THEQUIKROWFOJUPEDOERTHELAYDOG!@#$%^&*() (looks like the same thing)

    TEST 2

    fsdlkjfjdskldfksjldsfjkldsfjkl
    kjlsfdksfjdldskfjldfskjldfsjkl
    fdskjljdsklfdsjklfdsklfjdsfkjl
    ldsfkjdslkfjdflskjsdflkjdsflkj
    dsfkljdsfkjldsfkjlfdslkjdsfkjl
    fslkdjdsfljkdslkfjfdskjlfdskjl
    dfksljdkjlfsdfkjldsfkjlsdflkj
    sdfjkldsflkjsdfkjlsfdkljsfdkjl
    kljsfddskfljsfdkjldsfkjlsfdkjl
    lkjdsfkdsfjlsfdkljfdskjlsfdkjl

    TEST 3

    EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
    SSSSS
    DDDD
    FFF

While pressing "E" and "SPACEBAR" it kept inserting "E"s but when I tried "S,D,F" they all stopped when I pressed the first "SPACEBAR".

I hope I did the tests right and this helped you out.

Thanks did you only do the 1 shift? I would assume it was perfect.
Also in test 2, I noticed just 1 line missed, do you think thats a typo and your finger missed?

This shows that if you use an ESDF config you cannot use this keyboard, which essentially means steel series slapped their name on a random keyboard and I would not call it a gaming keyboard by any stretch of the imagination.

Still interestingly if Test 2 was actually a pass its performance is slightly better than the Clevo boards which failed test 2 when I did them.

Anyhow thanks for doing that Alblake getting people to do this on this forum seems to be like pulling teeth I gave you a rep.

To answer your questions, when I did the 1 shift I did get it perfect. For test 2 im also guessing that it was just my fault and was a typo.

And its no problem at all. It only took like 5 minutes to do, so I didn't mind doing it at all.
