I've decided I'm going to get this https://us.msi.com/Laptop/GE62MVR-APACHE-PRO-7th-Gen-GTX-1070.html#hero-overview
I've been trying to figure out the best reseller to get it from but I haven't done business with most of them before. Anyone have good/bad experience with Xotic PC, EXcaliber, Gentech, any of the other resellers selling this model?

I would say the largest/most popular are XoticPC, LPC-Digital, HIDEvolution, and Eurocom. Prostar or GenTech could be larger than LPC actually but LPC has a great rep.
How much is that laptop? Cheaper than a Clevo P650HS I hope? -

For your information, most of resellers have it.

Oh and not to short GenTech, they actually offer liquid ultra thermal compound which is the best type of thermal compound for low temps. Only HIDEvolution also offers it that I know of.
For Clevo, LPC-Digital, HIDEvolution, and maybe XoticPC? Offer the Prema bios mod for overclocking.
I think XoticPC has the best mod shop if you wanted to like custom paint a laptop.
That's all I can remember for stuff that differentiates the sellers. -

speaking about Xotic PC, remember in the past when I wanted to order a laptop from y'all I had to cancel the order because you didn't accept PayPal payments for international customers? did that change or it's still the same? -

Still only able to do US based payments through our site, or bank wire transfers from any where in the world.
But one thing that has changed, we started putting customized models up on sites like Amazon and Newegg, which then you would be able to check out according to their payment policies. That makes it much easier on international orders.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
I would suggest getting someone to make a preview page for all your custom paints. (I can do it if you want ;p)
I think I'm not alone in saying I wouldn't buy a laptop with a custom paint that I can't even preview. I have no idea what "Admiral Blue" or "Torch Red" specifically looks like. Something like what Origin does that shows a rendered image of it would be helpful.
Even at HID, I literally had to photoshop the hell out of the back of a Clevo P650 to get the exact look I wanted from them. @Donald@HIDevolution probably remembers my friends map design, it took him like 18 hours to make perfect lol. -

We do have a section on the main page that has some of the colors and options of what we can do. I won't link it here, but it is under the "Make it yours" section if you scroll down a little bit.

as much as I don't like Origin PC from my previous bad purchase experience with them, their custom paint preview is awesome, you can see exactly how your laptop would look like after you configure it.

Yeah, I'd agree I would like to see something like that added. I know it has been discussed, and I'll bring it up again.

To start just doing it on one machine would be enough just to give a general idea of what stuff looks like.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this.
