Hello.
I got hold of a GT780R that the motherboard was broken. I bought a motherboard for a GT70 and everything looked fine except that i have to replace a few things. But when i try to run a game the gtx560m runs on idle (101mhz) and so on. Any suggestions what the problem could be? I´m running win7 and tried both nvidias last drivers and the ones from msi.

The 560m needed specific system bios hooks to enable full clocks if i remember rightly. Is it running off of it though? The 3D may be running off the igp, check the DGPU loading levels.

It's running the 560m what i see. Is there a bios that i can change to so it can work?

What is the best way to see if 3d really runs on my geforce and not the internal gpu? I just realise that maybe it doesn't switch to geforce.

Too bad that i dont have a working s-bar or what its called. The s-bar from the gt780r has a 12pin ribbon and the one for gt70 has 15pin i think. So have to start the laptop by shortening the pair on the ribbon. I have ordered a new s-bar for the gt70 but for now i have to stick with this method -

Turn on the gpu indicator in the nvidia control panel (tabs across the top) this will add an icon for the gpu in the bottom right.

I've got also a question for you. I own myself an MS-16F2 barebone (like the MSI GT683DXR) and still have lying around a MS-16F3 motherboard. I get it but not connected, because the wrong pin assignment of the power board of the old barebones. You've actually exactly the same board cable and are running it in a GT70 motherboard, you could send me a pic, how did you put it right into the motherboard? I've tried all sorts of positions, without success. The only thing I can do, that the Power LED and the "Windows" LED flashes every 5 sec and the fan sometimes just moved ... My Barebone is a White Book and thus has only three buttons and no s-bar.
