Hey all I've been researching the forums and have been getting confused.

I have MSI MS172219-004US Barebone system (red/black scheme)

    My bios Ver1.ON
    EC Ver 4.27

Do i have the update the bios and EC to the latest ver from the GX720 bios?

    http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1521

My laptop runs perfectly except i do not get a battery indicator it says no battery life when using NHC program...

Also if i have to update in which order do i update EC first or Bios First?

    Thanks

I had the same versions of BIOS and EC. I did not know which order to go through, I just selected to do the BIOS first and then the EC. It all worked out fine. Remember to read the instruction pdf from the download page. Also, after you flash your bios/ec, switch off the laptop by holding the power button for more than 5secs, and then remove the battery and the power cable for 4-5 minutes, then restart the laptop and hit DEL to go to the BIOS setup. In the BIOS, hit load the default settings option. And then save and exit.

LOL. I hope that was clear!

another quick note, if you put in the GX720 bios 1.0s and EC 4.29, Your internet explorer button will turn into the turbo. Mine did, and it's great. KRDVG nailed it on the head with the procedure. It's as easy as saying easy to do.
