hacktrix2006 Hold My Vodka, I going to kill my GPU
Just a heads up to others, GT72s and GT80s thats the 6Q series is not included in this which i find very weird as the other laptops in the GE, GL, GP, PE under the 6Q series have got Nahimic 3.
It might just be a simple over sight on MSI's end when they gave out the compatibility hardware list to Nahimic.Last edited: May 3, 2018JeanLegi likes this. -
hacktrix2006 Hold My Vodka, I going to kill my GPU
Now they have removed all 6th Gen and 7th Gen systems from that page so now it seems its an 8th Gen only.
Hopefully whilst they sort out the other series for a big release i don't know. -
Use Realtek driver 6.0.1.8387 or later. I can confirm that we check it with an GT73VR 6RE Titan and my GT75VR 7RF Titan Pro. I can even try it with the gs63 6rf stealth pro and a ge73 7rf raider.

hacktrix2006 Hold My Vodka, I going to kill my GPU
I have it already installed and working after modding the drivers to accept the device ID thats not in the new drivers, there seems to be a big chunk of the MSI laptops / desktop that came with nahimic and was included in the HDXMSIESS.inf from the original Realtek driver of the very same version you have mentioned.
-
This is pure marketing since Nahimic should work on all realtek chips since it's a pure software "enhancement"...
Just modding the inf proves that. -
MSI always does this. Very rarely do the “old” gen laptops get the new fancy software enhancement. Otherwise they would have less to put on the “features” page for buyers to feel good about.tiliarou likes this.

for the GS63VR 6RF Stealth Pro you can take the realtek driver 6.0.1.8383 which you can find here GS63 Stealth 8RE
Same for the GE73VR 7RF Raider take the audio driver 6.0.1.8396 which you can find here GE73 Raider RGB 8RF
Both devices are only examples when it works for them it should work for all other in the same way.
No reason to mod the inf files in this case.
And now back to (not every day) daily business... GAMING

I've got 8396 running on my GE63 7RE Raider but I keep getting "There was a Problem at our end. Try again Later." when trying to get Nahimic 3 from the MS Store.
Any suggestions ? -
as quick first step atm only this:
https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...y/24344bab-aef8-4091-a200-9f30fafd93e5?auth=1
and then the both links:
realtek: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9P2B8MCSVPLN
Nahimic: https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9N36PPMP8S23 -
What version realtek audio you installed now?

The GT75VR 7RF has the same audio chip like the GT83VR so i take the driver from the new gt83 series.

In most cases, I would honestly recommend again Nahimc. There has been many issues with the software and windows 10. For me, the cons outweigh the benefits.
Edit, Spelling. -
I have it installed just for the switching when I plug my phones in, besides that, everything is disabled, because it makes the sound much worse, all those "enhancements" always sounded bad to me, since the first time I listened to an N56 with the Maxxwaudio crap.

The N56 was a decent sounding machine with just the base drivers IMO. -
After 2 days getting to bed at 4Am I got it installed (Finally!) Rebuilt W10 from scratch with all the bloat on, installed Driver 8401 and the store did the rest.
Both Nahimic and The Realtek Audio Console.
Slowly incorporating the various tweaks and lockdowns - I suspect I turned something off last time which broke the store....I'm still not sure what though as I broke it in previous release as well as 1803

Agreed in most to all cases I have seen the sound is actually better without it. -
it appears that the Nahimic creator has decided not to let Nahimic 2.x users update to Nahimic 3 as recently announced here:

i run Nahimic 3 on my GT75VR... as long the realtek driver is compatible with your device nahimic 3 should it be as well.

Same with my GE63. Have been through several driver AND Nahimic 3 updates without issue, despite Nahimic/A volute saying "Interdit!".JeanLegi likes this.

If you look at the last page of that thread 8612 version or 8614 is available as a aio installer that installs everything including Nahimic 3, just follow the instructions and your good to go.
