i have been thinking about getting this from newegg
Newegg.com - MSI GT Series GT70 0ND-204US Notebook Intel Core i7 3610QM(2.30GHz) 17.3" 16GB Memory DDR3 1600 64GB SSD + 64GB SSD RAID + 750GB (7200RPM) HDD Blu-Ray Burner NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M
havent really heard to much about these gaming laptops, they look real nice, very equalivant to alienware, i was going to get an alienware m17x, but im pretty sure alot of people has read the forums about those right now, being im one of them, so now im looking for something similar, the specs on this looks really good, so onto what i play
I mostly play alot of mmos, like aion, TOR, rift and gw2, right now i currently play gw2, but i want to play them on max settings, right now my dell inspiron sucks at that, and it makes it look so cheap and ugly, so is this laptop for me? whats the likes and dilikes of everything

Go for the MSI model with the GTX680m, it's considerably more powerful and the current best GPU. Should allow you to play with max settings. It should be just a tad bit more money.
Also I would recommend buying from a reseller, like the ones that post on this forum, they can help you out and give you much better support for your machine. I bought my barebone version from GentechPC and recently made a review, if any of the games you want has a benchmark, I can gladly run it so you can get an idea of the performance. -
Plus they can be customised should you wish and offer tech support.

I purchased one of these laptops (MSI GT70-ONE with the 680m graphics cards). I also played guild wars 2 and skyrim for 4 months with this computer. It worked great for this period of time, one day though while playing guild wars 2 it just turned off and would not start again (no power at all). I sent it out for repair/replacement to MSI (I had to pay for the shipping to them). 3 weeks so far and I still do not have my laptop. MSI has one of the worst warranty and customer support of any manufacturer that I have encountered. Yes the statistics of this laptop seem pretty amazing but If you do have an issue with this product then be prepared to have to beg, plead, complain about getting it fixed. No manufacturer should treat their clients this way. Honestly, in retrospect I should have just built a custom desktop myself or purchased from another company. MSI has lost me as a potential future client and my confidence with them is finished.

Why don't do something about it instead? I haven't had bad service with them at all, and if you're as much of a 'jerk' as you come across on these forums to them on the phone, it's no wonder they don't want to deal with you. No one should have to deal with a person that isn't even willing to be reasonable, and so far you've only shown that you go off the 'deep end' when something happens..... -
@darkhawk13
Sorry I did not mean to upset you. The post said that he wanted a review of the product and manufacturer. Since my experiences with MSI have not been pleasant I believed it my duty to inform others that their support is not on par to other manufactures that I have dealt with (I am a reseller). I have contacted them numerous times and have been friendly and patient with them on those occasions, however as time progresses a person's patience expires. Hopefully you have better luck with them if something happens to your computer.
I chose this topic because the title read "Need some reviews on the MSI Gt70 laptop", most of the other topics are on modding and such.
